I am a total smoothie fan and I love places like Jamba Juice unfortunately they don’t have one where I live 🙁 . I know most people think of smoothies when it’s hot outside but I make them year round because I workout and get hot daily so a nice cool smoothie hits the spot. My favorite flavors to blend together are orange and strawberry so when I saw this recipe I thought it sounded good, I was especially intrigued by the buttermilk. I liked the added tangy taste from the buttermilk but if you don’t have buttermilk I’m sure Greek yogurt would do the trick, although I don’t think I would add a whole cup. I hope you like this tangy and refreshing smoothie for anytime you want to cool down or have a healthy snack.

Beautiful smoothie, it looks so creamy and delicious!
Me, too! I like Jamba Juice! I wish I was more diligent in making smoothies, because I love drinking them! But I alway get too lazy to make my own. Hahaha, that has to change soon! And strawberry? I like…!
I’d love one of these right now, Looks yummy and so pretty, Suzanne!
Happy Thursday, Suzanne! What a pretty smoothie! It makes me happy to look at it! 🙂 I’ve never used buttermilk in a smoothie, but will have to give it a try!
There’s nothing like a smoothie after a workout. Love the buttermilk twist on the traditional. 🙂
Love strawberry smoothies, especially w/ a little peanut butter thrown in for a PBJ smoothie. Love the twist of buttermilk-will definitely have to give this a try!
Oh good idea with the PBJ in the the smoothie, I’ve only tried it with banana smoothies.
i have to try the buttermilk version, what a great idea!

I love making smoothies! My son loves them too, and it is such a great way to get him fruits and veggies he wouldn’t normally eat!
I make several smoothies for breakfast every week and I love adding strawberries and buttermilk if I have some in the fridge;-) I just picked up a basket of strawberries at the market- I hope they’re sweet-adding some honey is a good solution 😉 Your smoothie is a beauty xxooxx
