If you haven’t tried this milkshake before you should, especially if you are a peanut butter and banana fan. I’m currently on a PB, banana, and cinnamon kick, I love them together and who’d thought they would marry so well together, usually three’s a crowd but not here. If you make this milkshake you have got to have a frozen banana because that is where the thickness comes from, you can add some ice for more of a smoothie texture but the banana really needs to be frozen. I always have lots of frozen bananas for smoothies, I just simply peel them and throw them in a zip-lock bag, and done. I don’t chop my bananas up before freezing but that would be a good idea too. If you are opposed to cinnamon because it doesn’t sound good give it a try, you’ll be surprised. If you really can’t picture it with cinnamon then leave it out and sprinkle a little on the top of your drink so you get a tiny taste. I found this great cinnamon when I was at my parent’s house in So. Calif. at Costco, it was really cheap but the flavor is almost spicy. The cinnamon is Kirkland brand and is from Vietnam, so if you are from the West look for this at your local Costco, mmm..it’s so good.[print]
Ingredients:
1 frozen banana cut into chunks
1 cup skim milk or other milk
3 T. of smooth or chunky peanut butter (more if you’re really a pb fan)
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
crushed ice (optional)
Directions:
Put all ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. I used a little ice because I like mine to be thicker like a smoothie. If you’re unsure of using cinnamon then leave it out or try sprinkling some cinnamon on top of each drink.
